Stories In Hand

I am enjoying my class at Jessica Sprague’s Stories In Hand class which I signed up for after learning about it from Zakirah’s blog. It’s FREE and so far, it has been a blast. I love telling stories and recording them in different mediums. I like to write about experiences and all the simple things that are happening in our life. The class is superb and I couldn’t ask for more. Unfortunately, registration is already closed but who knows, she’ll offer one more in the future.

We were asked to make our own binder and a mini jotter. Here’s what mine looks like.

SIH Binder and Mini Jotter

I had to improvise because I don’t have any 6×6 binder. I used an old binder notebook and made a cover using of course, Shabby Miss Jenn’s Little Kahunas kit. I just love the papers on that kit. I use them over and over again! I just love how it turned out and I love the class :)

Talking about stories, my daughter had their report cards released yesterday. They also gave us parents a rose and a letter. I just love the poem inside and of course the letter my daughter wrote.

Before I end this post, may I ask everyone to support ARTEMIA. It’s a collab kit from 13 designers which will benefit Danielle (aka Artemia) who recently experienced a tragedy in her life. You can learn more about it HERE. The kit comes with a free gift and when you purchase a kit, you will be entered in a raffle for one of 10 issues of DAM. Please click on the image below to purchase the kit. It is only available at After 5 Designs for $7.99. Don’t miss this chance to help out and support her. Thanks and have a great fab weekend!

Plan B

I’m guilty… This blog has not been updated for so long now… Anyway, that’s why I’m here… To do just that.

I have good news and bad news. The good news is, I was accepted as a trainee at a local hospital here in our city. I will be training for three months straight starting December this year. Now, the bad news is, my plan to go to Singapore will be postponed. I am still not sure if the plan to go there will push through as I am thinking of applying for other training opportunities in other hospitals by December. I have mentioned this to my father and he encouraged me to go on with the training for another year. Most of my documents are already ready and I’m so glad they are! It’s very tiring traveling and getting these documents.

And while we are talking about ‘news’, Terri Martin has asked me to join the DAM team as a guest for three months! I couldn’t believe it and it came as a total surprise. What an honor to have been chosen! I am still not sure if I can commit to other teams though. I really want to and I actually miss scrapping and I try my best to make a page once in a while when I have time. But right now I don’t think I can join teams. I’m so afraid in disappointing anyone. I don’t know, it’s just me I guess. Perhaps when I become stable with my schedule. Only then will I decide to apply in my previous teams. I miss being in teams… Sigh…

Speaking of DAM, have you checked out the October issue yet? No? Well, you better! I just love this magazine. It’s packed with tons of inspiration and fantastic exclusive downloads! To tell you the truth, I haven’t finished reading the issues from August. Why you ask? Well, I love looking at the fantastic pages inside. I look at them over and over again LOL :) If you want to check out what’s inside this month’s issue, just CLICK HERE or click the image below.

DAM October 2008

I hope all is well with you all. I will share a few layouts by tomorrow and hopefully, I’ll be back on track with my blog postings. Take care everyone :)
