My Month End Report

I can’t believe how fast August has gone by…

It’s gonna be September tomorrow already! I believe it’s back to school time in some parts of the world. Tomorrow is the Charter Day of our city - 99th Charter Day to be exact. I believe there will be a parade tomorrow. Next year, we will be celebrating the Centennial year of the city. And this month, I will be celebrating my birthday. Another year older and wiser (I hope). And here in the Philippines, some malls play Christmas carols whenever September starts. A little early, yes. But is always justified that September is the first ‘-ber’ month until we reach December.

Well, this August has really been exciting for me. I was accepted by a couple of designers and shops as a creative team member and a guest. Being on a creative team is fun. There are tasks and responsibilities of course and I try to do them the best that I can. I’ve always believed that I should do a great job whether or not I see the person I am working for. It’s not work really, it’s really fun :) So if you check the CTM enabling thread at DST I have quite a number of posts there LOL :) But I do it not to please the teams or designers I create for. I just do it because I want to help advertise their products :)

I have so many things to learn still and that’s what I love about scrapping. I started digiscrapping last March 2008 and I’m still trying to find my ’style’. I guess now I vary my scrapping techniques, if that’s what you call it. I have a lot of realistic elements going on in my layouts but I’d really like to learn Amanda Resende’s style. She’s one of my scrapping idols (I have a lot) and love her work!

Oh and this August, I had my first publication in the issue of Digital Artist Magazine. It was such an honor to be part of it. The magazine is awesome by the way and I am planning to get the old issues very soon. So much inspiration and techniques to learn in the magazine. I now think it’s really worth the money. I used to think otherwise.

This August, I have a total of 63 layouts (yes, I monitor the number of my layouts LOL). Four of the layouts were not for my teams. It’s always so fun creating. If only I have more time in my hands…

This September, I will be guesting for none other than the very talented Holly Designs. You know where her shop is right? If you don’t, where have you been? LOL :) I’m just kidding. You can check out her shop at Shabby Pickle Designs. I am so honored to be her guest. I bought some of her products just this month. My favorite so far is her (Miss)Match alphas! I just love those! And she is the featured designer for August’s DAM issue. She created a wonderful kit CALYPSO for the issue. I made a layout with it. You can see it HERE.

That’s it ladies. Thank you all for dropping by. I wish you all a great week ahead and happy scrapping!
